About Us (The Atlanta Chapter History)

The Atlanta chapter was formed in 2008 by the founder of Pink City Corp (formally Toyl Events) who is also the current city movement manager Bev Wilson. We are so proud to be in the original city that started the entire movement and Sisterhood. Through the years, we have had the pleasure of having some industry VIP's as original members of the Atlanta Curve Appeal Movement.

The Atlanta chapter has faced and overcome many challenges by starting at a time when the plus community was not as saturated as it is now with empowerment groups, plus modeling opportunities and businesses that cater to the plus size woman. A time when there were limited resources for plus size women overall. When we started, there were very few events that featured plus size women and almost no opportunities for beautiful confident "real" size curvy women to be given national exposure opportunities. The Atlanta chapter made such an impact that we made history on May 9, 2010 when we produced the first convention in Atlanta for plus size women that welcomed over 500 women.

Currently, the chapter is preparing for it's big re-launch which will feature old and new members, partners, supporters, sponsors and a brand new exciting city plan full of fun exciting events, community services and group activities.

Our Vision and Mission

Our mission is to unite, empower and educate the curvy females in the Atlanta metro area through positive events, workshops and activities. We also strive to help encourage our members to be fit and healthy, contribute to the Atlanta metro community and promote the importance of uniting and empowering educated, sophisticated classy women instead of tearing each other down.

The Atlanta Chapter is looking for quality people (both men and women) to join us in our mission. We are also seeking qualified leaders, FOCA (Face of Curve Appeal) Spoke-models/brand ambassadors, venue partners, sponsors, exclusive vendors, photographers, glam partners, SIS Members and General Supporters.

We are also open to partnering with other established women groups on upcoming projects.
